Did you ever want to listen to music while you were working on the computer but had to turn the stereo way up because it was in the other room or you didn’t bother because you didn’t want to bother others in the house with your kind of music or whatever? Maybe you wanted to
listen to songs you hadn’t purchased or didn’t have in your iTunes collection. I know you have your favorite songs in iTunes. :)
The reason I asked is if the above is true for you then I have news! You can find on the internet sites that have your favorite music and then stream it into your computer for your enjoyment. I will give you a few (Of course some will be slanted to old rock and roll.) to get you started. It is up to you to find others, if you are up to it. :) Let’s see!
#1: http://www.pandora.com--This is my favorite!!!! You can just listen to what they select. They show you the Name of the album, the artist, and a picture of the album cover. Click on Guide us and tell them what you think with a thumbs up - I really like this song so play
more like it, thumbs down - I don’t like this song, ZZZ - I’m tired of this song so don’t play it for a month, ? - Why is this song playing, or + - I want to add more kinds of music to this station. You don’t like the song click on the album picture and give it a thums down. It stops
immediately and starts a new one.
You can click on Friends and discover what your friends are enjoying - Search your address book and Enter your friends’ emails to invite them to listen to yours. You can click on Pandora Extras arrow and select Genre Stations. (There goes my old rock and
roll!) What music do you like? Alternative, Blues, Classical, Country, Dance, Electronic, Folk, Hip Hop, Holiday, Jazz, Latin, New Age, Oldies ( :) ), Pop, R&B, Reggae ( ? Got me!), and Rock.
Ok. You don’t like any of them. Then create your own! They will play those type songs. Give each song a Thumbs UP or Down.
Click on Create a New Station. It have you type in your favorite artist, song, or composer. They will then create a radio station featuring that music and more like it. Add more artists or songs to your station. Change the name of the station to better show your personality.
Click on the radio station you created. Your options are: Delete This Station, Rename This Station, Find other fans of This Artist, Share This Station With a Friend, Edit This Station, andAdd More Music to This Station.
Click on About the Music: Find a Song, Find an Artist, Pandora Blog, & Pandora Presents. Double click on Your Profile: Type in your favorite artists and songs in separate boxes and bookmark them. Click on an artist and get a biography about him or her. Next time you visit this site, it will play your favorites. The more information you give it, the better it will select the kind of songs you like. You are going to love this station!!!!
