Software Updates

One of the wonderful things about a Mac is that Apple is always working to improve how the Mac computer works. They are continually fixing bugs, upgrading security, and adding features. Regularly they offer these improvements free. You just need to know that they are available and go ahead and download them.
Click on System Preferences in the Dock or under the Apple in the upper left corner of your finder desktop screen. Then click on Software Update in the System row, 4 rows down.
Next you have more choices Check Now or click on the little box next to Check for updates. Next click in the box to the right and choose - Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Click the box next to Download important updates automatically. It will tell you when it does it and will do it in the background. When it is done, it will usually ask you to restart your computer so the updates can take effect. You don’t have to do it at that moment.
The other way is to just click on Software Update under the Apple. Sure it is easier each time but will you remember and how often will you remember? When important Security Updates come along, how long before you remember to do a Software Update.
Your choice. Make it a good one.
