Aug 14 2008 - 8:30pm

MacCamp will return to Saginaw on Thursday, August 14, 2008 Our next MacCamp will take place at the Saginaw Township Firestation #1, 6171 Shattuck Rd. The August MacCamp will start at 2:30 pm — 5:30 pm. There will be a break for dinner (you can choose to go out or stay). Then, we will resume from 6:30 pm — 8:30 pm. See the map below.

MacCamp is all about "hands-on" learning. Bring your own laptop or gather round the many that are in use. Ask questions and get answers or help. MacCamp is free to all members. MacCamp is co-sponsored with the Midland Mac group, MIAMUG. MacCamps are typically held quarterly (see the photos below from some of our past MacCamps).

Podcasting, Skype, Photoshop, iPhoto, bulletin boards, Google Pages, modems, firewalls, networking iLife, Gmail, .Mac accounts, Mac 101, MacJanitor, software for backing up, purchasing hardware for the Mac...

These are just a few of the topics discussed in the info-exchange at many of our recent MacCamps. Along with some member presentations we often view instructional videos provided by MacWorld.

Members from SMUG and MIAMUG, as well as guests and switchers, join together to create an energy-rich atmosphere for fun, learning and sharing.

To top off this excitement President Betty Larsen frequently raffles off O"Reilley books and Apple hats, pens, and keychains.

Thanks to all who collaborate to make these MacCamps another MacSuccess!
